Tiered Pricing

One thing that we have noticed about the massage therapy industry is that most clinics will charge you the same rate, whether your therapist is fresh out of school, or has been in the business for 15 years. This doesn't exist in virtually any other industry, so we decided to try something new! We have created a tiered pricing system!

How does it work? If your needs are simpler, and if your budget is a little tighter, then book with a therapist with a lower level of experience, and save a few dollars. If, on the other hand, your needs are more complicated, and you want someone with more experience, then book a massage with a more experienced therapist.  All therapists are able to do direct billing with insurance companies, except for students, and all therapists are chosen for their commitment to helping our clients feel better for life! (Please note that not all levels of therapists are available all the time. Check the "Meet the Team" section to see what levels we have!)

**Please note: We are doing away with accepting tips, so we are adjusting our pricing structure as of November 1, 2019!

Here's a chart to help you decide:

*Please note that pricing and pricing structure may change at any time. These levels are completely our creation to describe a combination of experience and training.

They are fully qualified, all insurance companies should accept their receipts, and they should be registered for direct billing. They will have up to 2 years of experience. (Gwen Evans and Carly Turner are Graduate Therapists.)
  • Professional Therapist - A Professional Therapist has roughly between 2 to 7 years of experience, they are up to date with their continuing education, and usually have found an area to start focusing on.
  • Senior Therapist - A Senior Therapist has over 7 of years of experience, and would usually have advanced training and knowledge in one (or more) areas. (Kim Umphrey is the owner, and is a Senior Therapist.)

Aromatherapy Consultation

During an aromatherapy consultation, your therapist will sit with you and, using the information you’ve provided (as well as their knowledge of aromatherapy), create a custom blend specific to you and your needs. In many cases, your therapist may be able to assist you in addressing multiple concerns with a single blend, and provide you with the means to incorporate it into your day to day life in several ways.

After your consultation, you will be given a condensed write-up of your blend (with all confidential information omitted), which you can take downstairs to The Apothecary in Inglewood to have your master blend created for you right in shop! This helps to greatly reduce initial costs, and is invaluable to those who simply don’t have the time to sort through and create blends regularly.

It is important to note that Aromatherapy Consultations are in no way a prescription, is not meant to replace proper medical care, and is designed to be used in conjunction with conventional medicine and treatments. At most, essential oils may provide temporary symptomatic relief.

Pricing: Aromatherapy Consultations are available at $25 (+ GST) per hour (or portion thereof).

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is performed by a certified RMT/Aromatherapist and typically consists of light to moderate pressure techniques focused on maximizing the absorption of essential oils through the skin. During an aromatherapy massage appointment, your therapist will consult with you to create a custom blend specific to your short-term needs or goals. This blend can cover a multitude of items, such as fortifying the immune system, easing symptoms of depression, combating frequent headaches, and even concerns of an energetic/spiritual level.

Each aromatherapy massage includes a safely diluted blend of essential oils tailored to the client’s wants and needs, with any unused portions of the blend being given to the client for personal home use.

It is important to note that Aromatherapy Massage is in no way meant to replace proper medical care, and is meant to be used in conjunction with conventional medicine and treatments. At most, essential oils may provide temporary symptomatic relief.

Pricing: Aromatherapy Massage is available at $100 (plus GST) for a 60-minute appointment, and $130 (plus GST) for a 90-minute appointment (**Please note: the 90 min pricing is increasing to $135 plus GST as of Nov 1/19).

MassageChair

Chair (Seated) Massage

Chair massage is a fantastic option! Because you don't remove your clothing, lotion and oil are not usually used. Your hair is kept neater, and that makes it easier to go back to work, afterwards. It's also faster, which means that you can fit in a half hour massage, as well as travel, into a standard lunch break!  It's also a great option for those who have, perhaps, never experienced massage before, or who are uncomfortable with being undressed in a room with someone (although you are always covered with a sheet in a standard massage).

Pricing: Chair (or, seated) massage is offered as a half-hour massage, which is usually recognized by insurance companies.  The rate is $40 plus GST. As with all of our services, you can book online up to 2 hours in advance.

Higher Risk Prenatal Massage

If you are having complications with your pregnancy, or have pre-existing health issues which may complicate your treatment, then you need someone with a higher level of knowledge and experience.

Kim Umphrey, RMT has a very high level of training when it comes to perinatal massage. She is qualified for not only regular prenatal massage, but also higher risk prenatal massage. She is also trained as a Doula (although her schedule does not allow her to practice as one), and is qualified to teach infant (baby) massage, and has assisted in teaching prenatal classes.

Pricing: Standard Prenatal Massage is available at $90 (+ GST) for 60 minutes, and $125 (+ GST) for 90 minutes (**Prices increasing Nov 1/19 to $96 for 60 min and $134 for 90 min). Higher Risk Prenatal Massage is available at $105 (+ GST) for 60 minutes, and $145 (+ GST) for 90 minutes. Higher Risk Prenatal Massage can be made available at your home, for an upcharge, depending on distance from our office.

Targeted Treatment

Got a crick in your neck? Threw your back out? Need a quick fix? Try  our new Targeted Treatment! Fully clothed (we recommend changing into work-out clothes you can move in), we could use massage, stretching, or other techniques to get the job done, and get you moving again. This is NOT a timed treatment. It could take 5 minutes, or 20 minutes, whatever it takes. We will do a quick assessment of the problem, and treat the specific issue you come in for. Your treatment might be on a massage table, a massage chair, or even on a mat on the floor.

Pricing: Targeted Treatment is not billed by time, but by treatment.  It should be recognized by insurance companies.  The rate is $40 plus GST. As with all of our services, you can book online up to 2 hours in advance.
